Reviews - What people are saying  about Yungaburra Tours

At Yungaburra Tours we receive many compliments and finally we have decided to collect reviews. The following reviews have been copied from either Google Reviews, Tripadvisor or Facebook. In some cases a review may appear on all three review sites. We consider 'word of mouth' is still the best form of marketing.

The one day trip organized by Yungaburra Tours was absolutely fantastic. Me and my family had a wonderful day around the Tablelands.
The guide picked us up in the morning with a car, then we visited a lot of places: spotting wild animals, learning about local culture, viewing natural beauties.
The guide was very flexible on the program and allowed us to get the best from the trip. The breakfast and lunch were included and we ate very well in very nice places.
We were finally brought home in the late afternoon, getting also information and maps on what to do for the next days. The cost was well worthy the trip, the trip is extremely well organized.
A special thank to our Yungaburra Tours guide: Karl. He has been extremely kind and patient with us, ensuring we get the best from the trip, taking care of our safety and handling all our preferences and requests. Super Karl!!!

My husband and I took this and enjoyed it immensely. Our tour guide Karl has a good knowledge of the area . We really had a great day with Yungaburra Tours and would recommend it as a small personalised group tour.

Karl from Yungaburra tours took us on an enjoyable tour of Atherton Tablelands (9.5 hour Yungaburra Heritage and Rainforest Tour). We were picked up on time at our accommodation at Palm Cove which was a great benefit to us. Karl safely drove us up the Gillies Highway allowing us to look at the majestic scenery of cloud topped mountains, beautiful valleys and magnificent rainforest. Karl explained the local scenery as we went, gave informative commentary on the countryside, while sharing life stories with us, which were very interesting. During the day, Karl took us to many places on the Tablelands.

Some of the highlights included:

• The spectacular curtain fig that glistened through the mist and sunshine • Beautiful country village of Yungaburra with its pretty hanging flower baskets, and its history • Serene Lake Tinaroo • The well designed Afghanistan Avenue of Honour and it’s memorial to our soldiers • The spectacular Milla Milla Falls As well as driving us through beautiful rainforest, around lakes, and rolling hills of the farming countryside.

During the day, Karl looked after us well. We had a delicious lunch selected from a menu (we had a generous serving of crumbed fish chips and salad ) at a café in Yungaburra, and afternoon tea of cake and coffee in Atherton on the way home, both provided by Karl as part of the tour.

He was also very helpful in helping us plan travel for the rest of our holiday making suggestions of places we could visit, as well as taking us to a very helpful educational tourist information centre to get leaflets. We had a wonderful day with Karl and enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend Karl if you are after a small group/ private tour of the Tablelands. The day was great value and a wonderful addition to our holidays. Thanks Karl.

Yungaburra Tours. Don't miss it !!

The tour leader, Karl, drove us on a private tour in his comfortable car. We arranged with Karl for us to take us to some key spots we wanted to visit on the Atherton Tablelands. His fee was competitive and reasonable. Karl didn't follow his own agenda, but drove us around to what we wanted to see. There was never any stress or time constraint. Karl shouted us morning tea and lunch in his favourite cafes, which was wonderful. Karl was passionate about his part of the world. We couldn't have wished for a better leader, who couldn't do enough for us.
We finished the tour good friends.
The highlight (there were several) was the Millaa Millaa Falls. Don't miss them !!! Also the Curtain Fig Tree and the Afghanistan Avenue of Honour.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

Spending the day with Karl was like being with family. Karl's knowledge of this area really wetted my appetite to undertake more exploring. There is so much to see and do in the tableland area for people of any level of fitness or scope of interest. Waterfalls, so many, the Afghani memorial, rainforests, shopping, food and coffee, and so much more.

I had a great day with my private guide Karl. We went to different hotspots, like te Millaa Millaa falls and Lake Barrine. (And many more places!) Nice morning tea and a delicious lunch was included. Karl is great, he knows his way around and knows a lot about the area. I learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. I would definitely recommend Yungaburra Tours!
